Running back Christian McCaffrey was shockingly traded to the San Francisco 49ers last week and has been embracing the change of scenery the last two games. The running back helped the 49ers to a win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon.

But before the game at SoFi Stadium, he was greeted by girlfriend Olivia Culpo. The model took to Instagram on Sunday, sharing a video of the two hugging before the game on the sidelines. She captioned the post with "New Beginnings."

This was Culpo's first outing to see the running back playing for his new team. After the trade was made official, she posted a collage of photos and videos as a tribute to Charlotte, thanking the Panthers for everything. She also expressed how proud she was of McCaffrey for his hard work and how she was looking forward to him being in California where she has lived for several years.

The couple have been dating since 2019 and she often posts support for the now-49ers running back on game days.

Christian McCaffrey makes NFL history in just his second game with 49ers

Christian McCaffrey made just his second start for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon and left his mark in the NFL history books at the same time.

The 26-year-old proved to be a valuable asset for the 49ers' offensive gameplan. His first touchdown of the day was actually a passing touchdown to Brandon Aiyuk. The 34-yard touchdown pass was a trick play that Kyle Shanahan tried against their NFC West rivals the Los Angeles Rams. The pass was originally thrown backward by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

His second touchdown of the day was a pass from Jimmy Garoppolo as the quarterback scrambled out of the pocket. The back would then score a one-yard rushing touchdown later in the game.

Christian McCaffrey became just the sixth player in the Super Bowl era to have a passing, receiving and rushing touchdown in the same game. The last to do so was running back LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005.

The San Francisco 49ers' 31-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams now puts them at 4-4 on the season. They are currently second in the NFC West behind the Seattle Seahawks, who are at a surprising 5-3.
