Patrick Mahomes is one of the many recognizable faces when it comes to the future of the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback also has quite a distinctive voice for many fans.

During the Super Bowl LVII Opening Night event, Mahomes shared an interesting response when being compared to the legendary Muppet Kermit the Frog.

Mahomes said:

“People make fun of my voice for my entire life. I've got news about it, it’s like the joke that keeps giving. I’ve heard it all. I’ve heard of Kermit the Frog, I’ve heard the smoking cigarettes, whatever it is, but it’s unique, so maybe I’ll get a deal from that for having that unique voice."

While Kermit says it's not always easy being green, Patrick Mahomes has made being a quarterback look easy throughout his young NFL career. The superstar signal-caller became the Chiefs' full-time starter at the beginning of the 2018 season. Since then, he has led the league twice in touchdowns, including this season with 41.

The two-time All-Pro also led the NFL this season with 5,250 yards, the second 5,000-yard season of his career. Mahomes threw for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns in the 2018 season, winning his first MVP award. The former Texas Tech star is currently gearing up for Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium.

Patrick Mahomes is far from green playing in Super Bowls

Patrick Mahomes will be making his third appearance in a Super Bowl as he and the Chiefs will face Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was the second-youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl, winning the LIV edition at 24 years, four months and 16 days old.

Mahomes was also the MVP of the game, the youngest quarterback to win that honor.

The 2018 NFL Offensive Player of the Year will be looking to add another Lombardi Trophy to his resume. We'll see if Mahomes is a man or a muppet in Super Bowl LVII.
