Russell Wilson's career with the Seattle Seahawks ended the other day when they traded him to the Denver Broncos for several picks and players.
Last night, Russell Wilson posted a tribute video on Twitter with the caption, "Love #3."
The two-and-a-half minute video begins with him being drafted by the Seahawks in the 2012 draft and highlights some of his best career plays/moments during his time with the Seahawks. The video ends with him walking off the field with the caption in the video saying, "Seattle... Thank you for the memories."

During his 10 year-career in Seattle, Russell Wilson threw for 37,059 yards and 292 touchdowns. He recorded 104 wins and 32 game-winning drives.
He was a nine-time pro-bowler and second-team All-Pro in 2019, led the league in passing touchdowns in 2017, and had the highest passer rating in 2015.
His most memorable moment as a Seahawk came in the 2013-2014 season. Wilson helped lead Seattle to a dominant 43-8 Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos, where Denver was two-point favorites heading into the game. Wilson threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
Wilson will be looking to win his second Super Bowl, this time for the city of Denver.
Wilson was traded to the Broncos in a blockbuster trade that included Denver's 2022 1st Round Pick, 2023 1st Round Pick, 2022 2nd Round Pick, 2023 2nd Round Pick, and a 2022 5th Round Pick. The deal also included quarterback Drew Lock, DL Shelby Harris, and TE Noah Fant.
Seahawks posted a tribute video for Bobby Wagner but not Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson wasn't the only Seattle great to end their career with the Seahawks this past week. In a surprise move, Seattle released eight-time All-Pro LB Bobby Wagner. Both Wilson and Wagner were key pieces in their 2012 dominant Super Bowl victory over the Broncos.
Oddly enough, the Seahawks tweeted a clip from the movie "Cast Away." It featured Tom Hanks' character frantically calling for Wilson, and they quickly deleted it after much criticism.
They never Tweeted a tribute video thanking Wilson, but they did for Bobby Wagner, with the caption, "Forever grateful. Forever a Seahawk."
As heartwarming as Wagner's tribute may have been, he found out he was released the same way everyone else did. Wagner Tweeted yesterday that the Seahawks didn't inform him that he wasn't coming back.
What an interesting way for Seattle to pay homage to two of their all-time greats.
