Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are now 4-8 on the season and 1-4 in their last five games. Shannon Sharpe and Michael Vick spoke about the Packers' issues on the latest episode of the 'Club Shay Shay' podcast. The two former NFL players discussed who and what they thought was to blame for the current problems in Green Bay.

Vick said that he doesn't believe that quarterback Aaron Rodgers' age has anything to do with their lack of success this season. He said that he believes its the trade of wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders that is the main issue. He said that while nobody knows what happened during Rodgers' contract negotiations or whether he wanted Adams to stay with the team:

"I don't think age has anything to do with the decline with the entire team and the decline that has played I just think that not having Adams. We all underestimated that whole situation is just that that connection. I think Aaron did the same thing. I mean, I don't know. And I wasn't you know, none of us was in the room. We didn't know who fought for who to keep what you know."

Shannon Sharpe disagrees. He feels that Adams wanted out of Green Bay because of the uncertainty surrounding Rodgers' future with the team:

"He turned down more money from Green Bay to go to Vegas. But he did say he felt the uncertainty. You can't keep saying you could retire this year... But look, when you're a great player, sometimes you overestimate your ability and underestimate someone else."

Will Aaron Rodgers play next week vs. the Chicago Bears?

Aaron Rodgers exited Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with two minutes remaining in the third quarter. The 38 year old quarterback suffered a rib injury during the game and was seen grimacing and speaking with the Packers medical team on the sidelines.

Backup quarterback Jordan Love then took over as Packers quarterback. The third-year QB threw a touchdown to rookie wide receiver Christian Watson just two minutes after entering the game.

With Green Bay now 4-8 and their starting quartering dealing with an injury, could the team turn to Love for the remainder of the season? The Packers will head to Solider Field next week to take on the Chicago Bears, a team in which Rodgers has claimed he "owns" in the past.

The starting quarterback told reporters after the game that he was afraid that he had punctured a lung, so he left the game to get an X-ray. The results showed injured ribs but he will go through further testing on Monday to find out the extent of the injury.

He also said that as long as the tests don't reveal any serious damage, that he will take the field next Sunday. So, fans will have to wait and see what type of injury the quarterback has sustained.
