The worst is yet to come for Aaron Rodgers and Packers, suggests NFL analysts

New York Jets v Green Bay Packers
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers issues may not be resolved anytime soon.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have now lost two straight games and sit at 3-3 on the season. After the 27-10 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, some are wondering if this could be the quarterback's worst season yet.

On ESPN's KJM morning show, Jay Williams said that he believes it's the defense that needs help. He said that all everyone was talking about was the Packers' defense and so far they have left nothing to rave about.

"Everybody is going to focus on Aaron Rodgers key. And I get that. Not having Davante Adams, people are going to try to recirculate that narrative around, and I get he's a big redzone target. I've been talking about that for a while, but all I've been hearing about this entire offseason is about how good this defense is going to be. Like this defense is a Super Bowl-caliber defense."

Williams went on to say that the Packers defense ranks 28th in the NFL in turnovers as well as forcing turnovers. He said that the team won't be able to turn things around until the defense does so:

"Right. This is a defense that ranks 28th in the league in turnovers, forcing turnovers. They don't give you anything. So until this defense starts playing at a higher level, they're not going to be able to stay in games."

Williams feels that they won't be able to stay in games and give Aaron Rodgers an opportunity if they can't force the opposing team to turn the ball over.

Loss to Jets on Sunday is worst for Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers lost to the New York Jets 27-10 at home at Lambeau Field on Sunday. The 17-point loss was the biggest differential in Aaron Rodgers' career at home. They were stopped by a New York Jets defense that had a lot to prove as the latter move to 4-2 on the season.

The Green Bay quarterback completed 26 of his 41 passes for a total of 246 yards and one touchdown. The offense's inability to get anything going leads to the defense being on the field longer, which could be part of the issue for the Packers.
