NFL Combine - Adetomiwa Adebawore

Adetomiwa Adebawore made headlines on Thursday (March 2) after he broke the record of the fastest 40 by a player at his position at the NFL Combine. The original record belongs to the Los Angeles Rams' Aaron Donald, who set the record in 2014 as a draft prospect from Pittsburgh. This has definitely brought him to the attention of everyone.

The 280-pound Adebawore amazingly posted a 4.54 in the 40-yard sprint. He got past Donald, who took 4.68 seconds for the dash. The young college player is making the most of the NFL Combine opportunity to showcase his athletic abilities in front of general managers, coaches, scouts, professional players, and the media. A performance that is clearly enhancing his draft chances.

NFL Combine performance and draft prospects

Adetomiwa Adebawore has put up an impressive showing in the 2023 NFL Combine. He outran two NFL players in the 40-yard dash using the Simulcam view.

The Northern Wildcats defensive lineman outpaced Aidan Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions and Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers who were both second-overall draft picks in 2022 and 2019 respectively.

Adetomiwa Adebawore, in the actual sense, broke Calijah Kancey's record set earlier in the day. The Pittsburg Panthers defensive lineman narrowly bested Donald's record of 4.68 with a 4.67. But Adebawore didn't let that stay too long. The 6'2" Adebawore, who is targeted by the Minnesota Vikings, is now widely expected to be a Day 2 pick after the unreal athletic testing numbers on Thursday.
