Who will the Giants play next? New York playoff schedule explained

Indianapolis Colts v New York Giants
Daniel Jones heads to locker room after winning at home

The New York Giants ended up with a record of 9-7-1 at the end of the 2022 NFL regular season and clinched the No. 6 seed in the NFC for the playoffs. Before the 2022-2023 NFL season began, it was hard to imagine the New York team making the playoffs. However, a combination of Daniel Jones and new coach Brian Daboll will lead to a playoff berth. It's the first time these Giants have made a playoff appearance since 2016, when they lost in the Wild Card round to Green Bay. This time around, they are hoping to see a win.

The New York Giants will face off against the Minnesota Vikings this postseason

The New York team traveled to Minnesota on Christmas Eve in Week 16, but it wasn't too much of a gift for them after a 27-24 back-and-forth loss. It should, however, give New York fans and the team itself confidence heading into this matchup because it's winner takes all next week in Minneapolis.

Their opponent is the NFC North champion, the Minnesota Vikings, who hold a record of 13-4 and have quite possibly the most talented wide receiver the league has seen in years, Justin Jefferson. It's more about the guy who's throwing the ball at Jefferson in this playoff matchup: Kirk Cousins. Who wouldn't love a Kirk Cousins/Daniel Jones quarterback duel to start the NFL playoffs? The San Fransisco 49ers certaintly do, as they should. That's who the winner of the game will be facing and traveling to.
