Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, welcomed their son, Patrick 'Bronze' Lavon Mahomes III, into the world on November 28th. The baby was born at seven pounds and eight ounces.

The baby boy's name is based on family tradition. Mahomes' full name is Patrick Lavon Mahomes II, while his father's name is Patrick Lavon Mahomes.

The news of Bronze's birth came after Brittany Mahomes recently shared a number of photos on her Instagram carrying her son. Brittany did a number of poses for the photo shoot, covered only by a white, lace sheet.

One of the photos saw her standing with her belly sticking out from underneath the fabric. Another was where she sat on the floor as she held the sheet over her chest.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes announced they would be having a boy in June with a sweet gender reveal photoshoot. The couple wore sweatshirts that read, "Baby Mahomes Boy or Girl," with "Boy" circled behind a poster covered in blue paint.

How many children does Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes have?

With the addition of Bronze, the couple have two children now. In February last year, Brittany Mahomes gave birth to daughter Sterling Skye. Sterling will now be a big sister.

Patrick Mahomes met Brittany back at Whitehouse High School in Texas and married her back in March.

The high school sweethearts tied the knot in Hawaii after the Super Bowl-winning quarterback proposed in September 2020.

In an interview back in July last year, the 2018 NFL MVP spoke of fatherhood after the birth of Sterling. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback noted how having a father who played professionally influenced him being a dad.

"I think I have a little bit of an understanding because my dad played professional sports. But it’s going to be a little different in the social media age and everything like that."

Mahomes added:

"We just want to give her the most normal life that she possibly can so she can grow and have friends and learn and get better and better every single day."

Those words will surely ring true now as the Mahomes family welcomes Bronze to the group.
