There's bad news for fantasy owners regarding George Kittle. Kittle skipped practice on Thursday due to "hamstring tightness." He raked in seven catches for 76 yards and one touchdown during his team's Week 2 loss vs. Minnesota.

It seems things keep getting worse for the Niners, as Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel will not play this week. McCaffrey was recently placed on IR due to a calf injury and Achilles tendonitis. Samuel is dealing with a calf strain that will see him ruled out for the next couple of weeks.

George Kittle Injury Update

As mentioned, Kittle skipped practice on Thursday. Ideally, fantasy owners would've been okay if he was a limited participant. However, not practicing could indicate that he's a full-blown DNP this week.

He missed OTAs and minicamp during the offseason while recovering from a core surgery. After the procedure, Kittle lost nearly 30 pounds and said he couldn't train his upper body because of the injuries.

However, he has tried powering through his physical setbacks. But an injury this early in the season could mean he will be asked to take time off to prevent further issues.

What happened to George Kittle?

Kittle was carted off the field in the third quarter against the Vikings. Fans could only speculate about his condition, however, because he didn't appear to get injured during a specific play.

CBS revealed that Kittle's absence was due to cramps. He received an IV and played through the rest of the third quarter.

When will George Kittle return?

Kittle will likely remain sidelined against the Rams. But he might return on Sept. 29 for his team's outing against the Patriots. Fantasy owners should look to add him for that game.

Overall, the Niners' offense is injury hit. With several key weapons out, the reigning NFC champions may find it difficult to repeat last season's success.

According to Dr Jesse Moore:

"It's going to be an ugly, injury-riddled battle between the most injury -riddled teams in the league."

The Rams will be without Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp this week.

Only time will tell which of these two injury-plagued teams will emerge victorious when they meet in Week 3 action.
