Malik Nabers is one of the breakout stars of the 2024 NFL season. The LSU Tigers product came into the league with a lot of hype, but few would have predicted his immediate impact on the New York Giants offense.

Ahead of the Giants' Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, let's take a look at the star rookie's availability.

Will Malik Nabers play this week?

Yes, Malik Nabers will play this week against the Eagles. Nabers has cleared the concussion protocol and is all but certain to feature at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

According to ESPN, the Offensive Rookie of the Year frontrunner has sat out the past two fixtures due to a concussion. However, he was a full participant in Thursday's training session despite being noted to be dealing with a groin issue. Nabers met with an independent neurologist later in the day and was subsequently cleared to make his long-awaited return to the Gridiron.

It's been three game weeks since the pass catcher suffered a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys on October 3, 2024. His return should serve as a big boost for the Giants, as they've not been as dangerous in the air during his absence.

How has Malik Nabers performed this season?

Malik Nabers has been phenomenal in his first season as a pro. The former LSU Tigers standout recorded 35 catches for 386 receiving yards and three TDs in his first four fixtures.

He has led the team in receiving yards in every game of his young career. Nabers has reminded the Giants fans of a young Odell Beckham Jr. when he burst onto the New York scene during his earlier years in the NFL.

In Nabers' absence, the Giants had to rely on Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, Bryce Ford-Wheaton, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Ihmir Smith-Marsette to take up the burden and catch passes from Daniel Jones. The franchise also predictably remembered that they have a run game with Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Jones stepping up to support Devin Singletary.

Nabers' return comes at a great time for the Giants, who have games against the Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, and Carolina Panthers before their Week 11 bye.
