Where is the 2022 World Cup?

When and where is the 2022 World Cup?

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is slated to take place from November 20 through December 18, 2022. The World Cup for this year will be held in Qatar. In June, the much-anticipated Fifa World Cup schedule was released. Eight different stadiums will host the games, which will take place in five different cities.

The five cities where the World Cup games will be played are Lusail, Al Khor, Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah. Following a successful candidacy by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, son of Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the then-Emir of Qatar, Qatar was chosen as the host nation for the 2022 World Cup on December 2, 2010.

In the championship match, Qatar defeated the United States to win the right to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Each team's groups and the schedule have already been determined. Qatar and Ecuador will square off in the tournament's opening match.
