He won his first title when he defeated Isaiah Swerve Scott for the NXT North American Championship. One of the biggest moments of his career came when he unified the North American Championship and the Cruiserweight Championship. As time went by, became the longest-reigning NXT North American Champion of all time. In 2023, Camelo was put in a feud with the NXT Champion Bron Breakker. They faced each other at NXT Stand & Deliver, where Carmelo defeated Bron to become the new NXT Champion.
