Cody Rhodes is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE, as of January 2025,x where he performs on SmackDown. The son of the 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes is also the half-brother of WWE legend Goldust aka Dustin Rhodes. Known as The American Nightmare, Rhodes made his WWE debut in the late 2000s and continued with the promotion until 2016.

During his time on the independent circuit, Rhodes played a pivotal role in the formation of All Elite Wrestling with Tony Khan and the other members of the AEW roster. In 2022, he left his role as the EVP of AEW, to return to WWE. Upon his return, Rhodes won the Royal Rumble match in two consecutive years, becoming only the third wrestler after Stone Cold Steve Austin (1997, 1998) and Shawn Michaels (1995, 1996) to achieve the feat. He also brought an end to Roman Reigns' historic 1316-day title reign to become the world champion for the first time in his career.

Rhodes made his WWE Television debut in 2007 at the age of 22, when he was introduced by his father Dusty Rhodes in a backstage segment with Randy Orton. He won his first championship in WWE the same year, teaming up with Hardcore Holly for the World Tag Team Championship. Rhodes left WWE in 2016 at the age of 30 and wrestled for various wrestling promotions, including ROH and TNA. He joined AEW in 2019 and wrestled for four years while appearing on other shows, including ROH and NJPW. Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022 and performs on the SmackDown brand of the company, as of January 2025.
