Samuel Robert Shaw, better known as Dexter is an American Professional Wrestler, who is currently signed with WWE. He is currently a part of the Raw roster. He is also known for his time in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he wrestled under the name Sam Shaw and Samuel Shaw. He spent half a decade in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling from 2010 to 2015, including a year in TNA’s developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Shaw started his career as an illustrator for Universal Studios and worked for the Riverside Arts Market and created Pet Ornaments. He started his pro-wrestling training at the WWA4 Wrestling School and made his debut at World League Wrestling. In April 2009, Shaw debuted at Vintage Wrestling, where he was a former three time Vintage Heavyweight Championship. He spent most of his time in Vintage Wrestling during his Independent wrestling run.
In 2010, Shaw made his Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) debut under the name Lupus. He had a brief run and was moved to TNA’s developmental brand, Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he teamed up with Alex Silva and became two time OVW Southern Tag Team Champion. He returned to Impact Wrestling and changed his name to Samuel Shaw as a heel. He had a great rivalry with Mr. Anderson and psychiatric storylines. In 2015 he returned to Vintage Wrestling, debuted in Full Throttle Pro Wrestling, Global Force Wrestling and in National Wrestling Alliance.
He signed a contract with WWE in 2019 and was assigned to wrestle for the NXT brand. He had multiple house shows and made his WWE debut in NXT under the name Dexter Lumis. He maintained a scariest psychotic character. He had failed pursuits for the NXT North American Championship and had multiple backstage segments during the COVID19 run. He had a love angle with Indi Hartwell and had an onscreen marriage in the ring.
Lumis made his first main roster appearance from the audience side and eventually began a storyline with The Miz, over unpaid cheques. They had a Anything Goes match, where Lumis won the rightful money and lost it back to Miz in a ladder match after interference from Bronson Reed.
