Yuvraj Singh Dhesi is a Canadian Professional Wrestler, who is currently signed with WWE under the ring name Jinder Mahal. He is the leader of the ‘Indus Sher’ stable, which is a stable of wrestlers with Indian descent. Jinder Mahal was inspired to pursue a career in pro-wrestling from his uncle Gama Singh, who was a legendary heel wrestler during the 1980’s.


Being born in a wrestling family, he began his pro-wrestling training in 2002 at Martial Arts Fitness Center in Calgary. He made his pro-wrestling debut at Premier Martial Arts Wrestling under the ring name Raj Dhesi. He formed a tag team with his cousin Gama Singh dubbed themselves as The New Karachi Vice and also as Sikh & Destroy. “Tiger” Raj Dhesi is a one time PWA Canadian Tag Team Champion and two times PWA Heavyweight Champion.


Dhesi participated in WWE tryout at Florida Championship Wrestling with the Punjabi gimmick and signed a developmental contract to WWE’s developmental territory FCW. He made his WWE television debut in 2011 under the name Jinder Mahal and introduced himself as Khali’s Brother in Law (Kayfabe), who married Khali’s sister. Khali had a jobber run in WWE during the first run and was a member of 3MB with Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. He was released from contract in 2014 and returned to Independent Circuits. In 2016, Mahal returned to WWE with a much improved physique and transformed himself into one of the top card wrestlers. He was escorted by The Bollywood Boyz, with the help of them he won his first World Championship by winning the WWE Championship. He defended his championship against some of the former world champions and dropped it to AJ Styles after 170 days. After dropping the WWE Championship, Mahal won the United States Championship, but lost after just 8 days. He had various feuds, championship pursuits, injuries and appeared on television occasionally. He is currently on the Raw roster managing Indus Sher.
