The Elimination Chamber match is a professional wrestling match by WWE that takes place every year on the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View Event. The match is considered to be one of the most brutal match concepts in pro wrestling.
Six wrestlers in a match, all waiting for their turn to prove themselves. To spice things up more, these wrestlers are all locked inside a steel cage with nowhere to run, and most importantly, anything goes inside the match. A wrestler can use any weapon which he otherwise can not in traditional matches.
At least six wrestlers enter an Elimination Chamber match and only one of them remains the last one standing. The rules are simple: eliminate all other competitors via pinfall or submission. Unlike traditional matches, disqualifications and count-outs hold no bearing here.
It is not an easy job to make it into the match as there are usually qualifying tournaments to find out the wrestlers who will compete in the match. Nonetheless, a few wrestlers have managed to make it into the match on multiple occasions.
Most Number of Elimination Chamber matches entered
Chris Jericho and Randy Orton have both entered the Elimination Chamber match eight times, the most by any wrestler. However, Orton is set to enter the 2024 Men’s Elimination Chamber match, which will take his official tally to 9, which is more than Chris Jericho. The Viper has also won the Elimination Chamber once in 2014.
WWE Women with the Most Number of Elimination Chamber Matches Entered
Liv Morgan has entered the Women’s Elimination Chamber match a record four times. She has entered the match in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023. Morgan is set to take the number to five as she is confirmed to enter the 2024 Women’s Elimination Chamber match. So far, 2018 is the only event where she did not take part in the Elimination Chamber match. However, Morgan has yet to win the match.
