First Reign

After losing her Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 35, Rousey was away from television for almost three years and returned at the 2022 Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant and won the match. She challenged SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38, where Rousey lost and marked her first single’s defeat. However, she demanded a rematch at WrestleMania Backlash in an “I Quit Match”, where Rousey defeated and won the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time. She held the title for 55 days and dropped her title to Liv Morgan, who took the championship by Money in the Bank cash-in.


Second Reign

After losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Liv Morgan, Rousey demanded a rematch at SummerSlam, where Rousey failed to recapture the title after a controversial finish. Rousey turned heel by attacking the referee and got suspended for weeks. Rousey then got her shot by winning the fatal five-way match at SmackDown. Rousey and Liv had a SmackDown Women’s Championship match at Extreme Rules and won the match to have her second reign. On the December 30 episode of SmackDown she successfully defended her championship against Raquel Rodriques. After the match, Charlotte Flair returned anc challenged Rousey for a Impromptu match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, where Rousey lost her title after 83 days.

After losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Charlotte Flair, Rousey took a brief break from television and returned to help Baszler. Rousey and Baszler made a tag team and entered Fatal 4-way Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in which they won and became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. They challenged NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn who were drafted to SmackDown via draft with their championships to unify the championship. They unified the championship and retired from the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. They ended their championship reign after 32 days at Money in the Bank, where Baszler turned on Rousey and made Liv and Rodriques regain the championships.
