Moose vs. Nic Nemeth - TNA World Championship
Moose triumphed over Alex Shelley at Hard To Kill, claiming the TNA World Championship. But his victory celebration was cut short by the arrival of Nic Nemeth (formerly Dolph Ziggler). Nemeth wasted no time on Impact! the following week, declaring his goal to become the next TNA World Champion. Weeks later, Nemeth and Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey and Trent Seven) were the victim of a post-match beatdown courtesy of Moose's stable, The System. A championship showdown between Moose and Nemeth was then scheduled for Rebellion. At the event, Moose managed to defend his title.
The System vs. Speedball Mountain - TNA World Tag Team Championship
The Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey and Trent Seven) teamed up with Dolph Ziggler on the March 14 episode of Impact. Following their victory against Steve Maclin and the Rascalz, the three superstars were attacked by The System. While Dolph Ziggler went after the leader of the group, The System went on to challenge Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers who are the current TNA World Tag Team Champions. The System retained their titles at the event.
Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Jake Something - TNA X Division Championship
TNA X Division Championship is a secondary title within the TNA for its light and middle-weight wrestlers. At TNA No Surrender, former WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali defeated Chris Sabin to become the new TNA X Division Champion. The March 21st episode of TNA Impact! saw Jake Something emerge victorious in a six-way "Rebellion Referendum" match. This win secured him a shot at the TNA X Division Championship against Mustafa Ali at the upcoming Rebellion event. At the event, Ali retained his gold.
Eric Young vs. Frenkie Kazarain - Full Metal Mayhem Match
A bitter rivalry has been brewing between Eric Young and Frankie Kazarian since January. After a tag team loss, Kazarian turned on Young, aiming to become the king of TNA and win the World Championship. Their clash at No Surrender determined the next title contender, with Young emerging victorious. However, a furious Kazarian cost Young his championship opportunity at Sacrifice. Fueled by vengeance, Young challenged Kazarian to a Full Metal Mayhem match at Rebellion. At the event, Kazarian walked out with the victory in this vicious brawl.
Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Steph De Lander - TNA Knockout World Championship
On the March 28 episode of Impact, Steph De Lander, Alisha Edwards, Dani Luna, Havok, Jody Threat, Masha Slamovich, Rosemary and Xia Brookside competed in an 8-4-1 Match to crown the number one contender for the TNA Knockout World Championship. De Lander won the match and will now challenge Grace for the gold at Rebellion. At the event, Grace walked out of the event with the title.
Josh Alexander vs. Hammerstone - Last Man Standing Match
Hammerstone and Josh Alexander have been embroiled in a heated rivalry since Hard To Kill, where Alexander emerged victorious in Hammerstone's TNA debut. Two months later at Sacrifice, Hammerstone evened the score with a controversial win that involved a low blow. He also stole Alexander's signature headgear. This feud is all set to escalate in a third match at TNA Rebellion. The match was stipulated to be Last Man Standing and was won by Josh Alexander.
Joe Hendry vs. Rich Swann
Ever since AJ Francis has joined TNA, Joe Hendry has been mocking him with comedic music videos. Initially, Rich Swann sided with Hendry, but Francis convinced Swann to switch allegiances at No Surrender. This betrayal formed the "Fir$t Cla$$" duo with Francis and Swann. Hendry then challenged Swann to a one-on-one match at Rebellion, which was officially confirmed by TNA. Francis will side with Swann in the match. At the event Swann won the match.
