Six tag teams battled in a grueling Elimination Chamber Match to become the first-ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. In a thrilling finish, The Boss 'N' Hug Connection consisting of Bayley and Sasha Banks last eliminated the duo of Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose to make history as the inaugural champs.
Although it might sound similar to WWF Women's Tag Team Championship but it does not carry lineage of former title. It was established on Dec 24, 2018 in an episode of Monday Night Raw.
The title is currently vacated as the former champions due to the legitimate situation around the previous champions Sasha Banks and Naomi.
