He is currently making a name for himself in the world of professional wrestling with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and its affiliated organisation Ring of Honor (ROH) as a member of 'The Gunns' alongside his brother Colten Gunn. He and his brother are also part of the Bang Bang Gang faction, along with their leader and the first NJPW Grand Slam Champion Jay White. Together, they currently hold the AEW World Trios Championship and the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship for the first time.

Austin Gunn made his in-ring debut in the ROH promotion in 2019. After competing in ROH, he inked a deal with AEW and grappled his first match by teaming up with his father Billy Gunn. Later, Billy and Austin formed a three-man tag team called The Gunn Club, with Colten Gunn joining them as the third member. Following Billy Gunn's departure from the Gunn Club, Austin and Colten formed their own tag team known as The Gunns. They made their mark by winning their first major title, the AEW World Tag Team Championship from The Acclaimed.
