Max Dorian Fried is a professional baseball player who plays for the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball (MLB). He hails from Santa Monica, California and attended Harvard-Westlake School in North Hollywood, California. In the 2012 MLB Draft, Fried was picked by the San Diego Padres in the first round and was the 7th overall pick. He joined the Atlanta Braves in 2017 and was initially used as a rotation player. Fried was a part of the Braves' 2021 World Series championship and received several accolades during his career at Atlanta, winning the 2020 All-MLB First Team honors and the Second Team in 2021 and 2022.

Defensively, Fried won three consecutive Gold Glove Awards from 2020 through 2022. In 2021, he also won the Silver Slugger Award and was named to the All-Star selection twice, in 2022 and 2024. At the 2009 Maccabiah Games, Fried helped the United States Junior National Baseball Team win a Gold Medal in Israel. He signed with the New York Yankees in 2025.
