Maxwell Steven Muncy of Midlands, Texas, United States has been representing the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB) for seven years as of 2024. He is a veteran baseball player, having entered the league on April 25, 2015, with the Oakland Athletics. The Oakland Athletics had previously drafted him during the fifth round of the 2012 MLB draft. He became a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018.

Max Muncy had been successful in winning the MLB World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020. Additionally, he had participated in two MLB All-Star games in 2019 and 2021 and had earned two NL All-Star awards. He also won the MLBPAA Dodgers Heart and Hustle Award in 2019 and the NL Player of the Week Award on April 23, 2024.

Max Muncy suffered from a right wrist fracture on August 29, 2019, as per the MLB official site. This happened after he was hit on the wrist by a pitch from Matt Strahm of the San Diego Padres during a game against the team. Although fluoroscopy and X-ray tests proved negative, an MRI scan revealed a small fracture. The Los Angeles Dodgers placed him on the 10-day injured list on August 30, 2019, and then activated him again on September 13, 2019.

Left Elbow Inflammation

Max Muncy suffered from a left elbow inflammation on October 24, 2021, as per the MLB official site. He injured his elbow during a game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the third inning. Muncy was trying to throw to the baseline while Jace Peterson of the Milwaukee Brewers arrived at the bag. As a result, Muncy suffered a collision and after losing his ball and glove he fell to the ground in pain. He had to leave the field while holding his left arm. The Los Angeles Dodgers placed him on the 10-day injured list and sent him to the minor leagues. He was activated on June 9, 2022.

Left Hamstring Strain

Max Muncy suffered from a left hamstring strain on June 13, 2023, as per the MLB official site. He suffered from the problem during the eighth inning of a game in Philadelphia while running out a ground ball. As a result, he missed three games and still felt discomfort while running the bases and performing agility drills in the outfield during practice. The Los Angeles Dodgers placed him on the 10-day injured list before activating him on June 27, 2023.
