Current NBA Champion, NBA Most Valuable Player, Two-time NBA All-Star, Two-time FIBA World Cup gold medallist. And that was only part of the list, which indubitably, will get longer. Wardell Stephen Curry II is considered by many to be the greatest shooter of all time and is slipperier than an eel when on the charge.

A decorated college basketball career would not erase the stains of being overlooked by many major schools and terribly misprized before his NBA career. A recent video of Steph Curry reading out the 2009 NBA Draft Report that heavily denigrated him has been doing the rounds. It proves that the “Warrior” tag goes far beyond just his jersey.

In the video, Curry is heard reading out the report while flaunting his hardwood skills. According to the document in all its infinite wisdom,”Stephen’s explosiveness and athleticism are below standard. He is not a great finisher around the basket. he need to considerably improve as a ball handler and often struggles against physical defenders. Stephen must develop as a point guard to make it in the league. He will have limited success at the next level. Do not rely on him to run your team.”

Not just fans of the Warriors and Curry, but basketball fans in general must be grateful to the red-faced “experts” who chose to be tunnel-visioned at Curry’s weaknesses before the NBA Draft, where he still picked an impressive seventh overall. Their depreciation of the champion are undeniably part of the reason and motivation behind Curry’s meteoric ascension. His career is an inspiring testament to the might of single-minded focus and perseverance in the face of belittlement.
