#2 Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson saw his stock rise during the 2021 NBA Playoffs. The LA Clippers are expected to make a push to re-sign him in free agency, but so far, there haven't been any reports of talks being held between the two parties. Jackson will get paid handsomely this summer. The max the Clippers can offer him is $11 million, as per NBA rumors.

Jackson averaged 17.8 points, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game during the 2021 NBA Playoffs. He was key in helping the LA Clippers reach the Conference Finals despite Kawhi Leonard being sidelined due to injury. Jackson shot 40.8% from the three-point line on 7.5 attempts per contest.

These statistics factor in well for the Dallas Mavericks, who could give him a more consistent role right from the start of the 2021-22 NBA season. Jackson can play well on and off the ball, which suits Luka Doncic's style of play and would allow him to flourish on offense.

#1 Dennis Schroder

Quite surprisingly, Dennis Schroder is still unsigned and has seen his market decrease in free agency drastically. The former LA Lakers point guard was adamant about securing a $100-120 million deal, but teams that were interested in him do not consider him worth that much.

The Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks were all interested. Apart from Dallas, the other teams have found their new point guards and are unlikely to pursue Schroder. Meanwhile, the LA Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook and multiple other veteran guards, meaning they are unlikely to re-sign the German either.

Schroder averaged 15.4 points and 5.8 assists per game last season. Schroder was terrific with his defense as well, an area that the Dallas Mavericks need to improve upon for next season. He is certainly a very talented point guard and could fit in well with the Mavericks.

As per recent reports, the Mavericks have "zero" interest in signing Schroder, but with very limited options on the open market, they ideally should look to pursue him. But only at the right price, which they could try offering him now that there is very little interest in him from other teams.
