#2 Spencer Dinwiddie – 82

Spencer Dinwiddie had an overall of 83 in both NBA 2K20 and NBA 2K21. He was injured throughout the 2020-21 NBA season and featured in just three games, averaging 6.7 points, three assists and 4.3 rebounds.

Dinwiddie had his best season the previous year in which he averaged more than 20 points for the first time in his career. As a result, he was given an 83 overall. However, his injury troubles and the fact that he has not played in many games should have resulted in a higher downgrade. Dinwiddie will know that he is lucky to get an overall of 82, and can return to form and even get an upgrade.

#1 Cade Cunningham – 80

The Detroit Pistons’ Cade Cunningham is expected to be an elite prospect who should make an impact this season itself. His rivalry in the Summer League with no. 2 pick Jalen Green and leadership skills were for all to see.

However, considering even LeBron James, who was expected to take the NBA by a storm, was given a 78 overall for his rookie year, Cunningham perhaps did not deserve an 80 overall even before playing first NBA game. While his performances over the course of the season might more than justify his rating, he hasn’t done enough to get a rating better than multiple veterans.
