Despite ending the regular season with the best win-loss record of 73-9, the Warriors could not win the NBA championship in 2016. In the season after that they added Kevin Durant, who left the Oklahoma City Thunder in free agency, and got off to a blazing 34-6 start.

After beating the Detroit Pistons in a blowout at home, the Warriors got a four-day break and hosted the defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers for a regular-season matchup. Draymond Green registered a triple-double to help the Warriors beat the Cavaliers that night.

He finished the night shooting 66.7 percent from the field and scoring 11 points, to go along with 13 rebounds and 11 assists. He also had a steal and game-high 5 blocks.

The trio of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson all scored 20+ points and the Warriors routed the Cavaliers, 126-91, by as many as 35 points.
