Magic Johnson is undoubtedly one of the greatest NBA players of all time. He had a very colorful career, including five world titles. Unfortunately for Johnson, his career abruptly ended due to him testing positive for HIV, forcing him to retire early. It was painful for a guy like Johnson who was obsessed with basketball to suddenly sit on the sidelines.

However, Johnson was dedicated and came up with alternative solutions to play basketball again. According to The Sports Rush, Johnson purchased a team in the Swedish League in 1998. Not only was he the owner of the team, but he also briefly played with his players. He played a total of five games and scored 30 points in one.

Considering he was 40-years-old at the time, Johnson was no longer able to play for an entire season. This led the NBA legend to give up on the team and decided to leave. According to Yardbarker, M7 Boras went bankrupt after Johnson's abrupt departure from the team.

The 12-time All-Star is unquestionably the greatest point guard of all time. He earned the nickname 'Magic' due to his incredible court vision and fancy passes. Johnson will forever be loyal to the LA Lakers, as he mentioned on several occasions. Many fans also consider him as the greatest Laker of all-time.

Johnson averaged 19.5 points, 11.2 assists, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.9 steals in 13 seasons. His best season was when he won his fourth NBA title in LA. He averaged 23.9 points, 12.2 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals. Interestingly enough, that was also the year that he won his first Most Valuable Player award.

Johnson is a decorated legend filled with a plethora of accolades accomplished in the league. Three MVP's, five championships, three NBA Finals MVP's and 10 All-NBA First Team selections are among Johnson's career accomplishments. He was inducted in the basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
