Kobe Bryant holds the record for playing the most games for the LA Lakers. Even though Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played more games overall than Bryant, he did so for two teams. Bryant's tally of 1346 games for the Lakers towers above Kareem's 1093, who is second on the list for the team.

Black Mamba played in the NBA for 20 seasons. He joined the league at the young age of 18, and retired at the age of 37. During his time in the NBA and the LA Lakers, he also started 1198 games.

His tally of games started is another Franchise record held by the late star. Interestingly, there have only been two players - Kobe Bryant and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - in the history of the Showtime team to have played more than a thousand games.

#4 Most points (33,643)

One of the finest scorers in the league, Kobe Bryant is still considered to be one of the most fearsome scorers in the league's history. Often considered amongst the likes of Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan for his ability to score, Bryant is the fourth highest scorer of all time.

His tally of 33,643 points is topped only by LeBron James, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kobe Bryant's scoring ability was best highlighted by his performance on January 22, 2006 against the Toronto Raptors.

In that game, Bryant scored 81 points in 42 minutes, becoming the second-highest scorer in an NBA game. He also landed 28 of his 48 field goal attempts to register his highest game score.

#5 Most 3-pointers (1,827)

Before the onset of the Stephen Curry-led modern era of basketball, three-pointers were a novelty. Only a handful of players attempted and landed multiple shots from downtown in games. Bryant was one of those handful of players. Despite lacking efficiency, he was lethal from downtown in clutch moments.

He was also unyielding from the three-point line, and would consistently attempt numerous threes. During his career, Kobe Bryant attempted 5,546 shots from the three-point line, making 1,827 of them.
