The financial advisor in question was recommended by the Chicago Bulls, as Pippen was forced to offload his house in 2005. While he never officially went bankrupt, he was broke for a number of years before making a recovery.

#2 Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman is known to be one of the most flamboyant and controversial players that ever played in the NBA. Rodman made about $26 million in his career and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011.

Regardless, he has had his financial troubles and went bankrupt after failing to keep up with his own living expenses. Rodman also owed around $800k in child support and around $50k in spousal support as his lawyers officially stated that he was “broke and very sick.”

#1 Allan Iverson

Allan Iverson also never ended up going broke. A judge had taken control of his bank account in 2012 as he was reportedly unable to pay back a sun of around $860k to a jeweller. However, the NBA legend was later revealed to not be bankrupt, and was merely having trouble with liquid cash.
