After a terrific start to the season, the Dallas Mavericks have lost steam. They are still seventh in the Western Conference with a 36-23 record and are only three games behind the Houston Rockets who hold the fourth seed.

Led by Luka Doncic, the Mavericks have banked on him a lot this season and their offense functions through him. They also have the likes of Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr., among their ranks as their other weapons for shooting. The bench possesses quality players in Seth Curry and Delon Wright who are consistent threats from range.

Rick Carlisle and co. have the fourth-best true shooting percentage in the NBA, which is a good sign and they will be hoping to make the playoffs where they could make some serious noise when fully fit. The Mavericks are a clutch side and will go into the postseason looking like they belong in it after the last few years of disappointment.

#3 Utah Jazz - 58.4%

Led by Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, the Utah Jazz have had a rather patchy season so far. While the franchise has looked like a serious threat when on song, they still find themselves reeling on the sixth spot in the Western Conference due to their poor recent run. Nonetheless, Quin Snyder's men still possess the firepower to get the offense going on any given day.

Boasting of some very good shooters in Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles, it comes as no surprise that the franchise ranks among the best in the league with 58.4% true shooting percentage. As a team, the Jazz are shooting over 47% from the field.

With the right combination of youth and experience, Quin Snyder and co. have struggled post the All-Star Weekend, however, they are still optimistic considering the sheer talent and ability on the roster. They have the right identity and personnel to trouble any team on their day and will be hoping to go deep in the postseason.
