#2 Magic Johnson (138 Triple-Doubles)

Magic Johnson was noted for his ability to post triple-doubles throughout his entire career in the NBA. The current president of basketball operations at the Lakers started by posting five triple-doubles in his debut season back in 1980, and he continued to increase his frequency of triple-doubles as he grew into one of the biggest stars in the league.

The Lakers legend averaged an incredible 11.2 assists per game over his career, and if the 5-time NBA champion had been a better rebounder, he would have surely been on the top of this list.

#1 Oscar Robertson (181 Triple-Doubles)

Known affectionately as 'The Big O', Robertson is far and away the greatest triple-doubling force in the history of the NBA. The 12-time All-Star is also the only other player aside from Russell Westbrook to average a triple-double for an entire season.

It is also worth noting that triple-doubles were not counted back in Robertson's era, so it begs the question over how many the Big O could have recorded if he actually pursued them.
