#3 LA Lakers
The LA Lakers ended last season as one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the NBA. They converted just 11.1 attempts per game from deep, the sixth-worst record in the league. Their conversion rate was just 35.4% as a team, the ninth-worst among all 30 teams.
Adding more three-point shooters around LeBron James and Anthony Davis was one of their primary objectives this offseason. They did exactly that, with the additions of Carmelo Anthony, Malik Monk, Wayne Ellington, Kent Bazemore, Kendrick Nunn and Trevor Ariza.
Apart from Kendrick Nunn and Trevor Ariza, all the other players shot at least 40% from the three-point line in the 2020-21 NBA campaign. Nunn and Ariza weren't far behind, though, as they managed to convert 38.1% and 35% of their attempts from deep last season.
LeBron James also had one of his best three-point shooting seasons last year. He made a career-best 2.3 threes per game.
These factors make the LA Lakers strong contenders to finish as one of the five best three-point shooting teams in the 2021-22 NBA season.
#2 Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets boast one of the best offensive teams in NBA history. Their big three, comprising Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, is one of the most lethal trios ever to play on the same team.
All three players are proven scorers who can shoot the ball from all three levels. It's not just them the opposition teams have to worry about, though. The Nets have several other options they can use to exploit the three-point range.
Joe Harris was the team's best shooter from deep last season. He made 47% of his shots from deep on 6.1 attempts per game. Apart from Harris, the likes of Patty Mills, Blake Griffin, and LaMarcus Aldridge are also reliable options.
Last season, the Brooklyn Nets converted 39.2 % of their attempts from deep, the second-best in the league. They made 14.2 shots per game from the three-point line, boasting the seventh-best record among all 30 teams.
#1 Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz had the best record in the league by the end of the 2020-21 NBA regular-season campaign. One of the biggest reasons behind this record was their elite three-point shooting. They made 16.7 threes per game, the most among all teams in the league.
The Jazz will continue to have their best three-point shooters (Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Joe Ingles, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson) on their roster next season.
This gives them a superb chance to finish as the best three-point shooting team in the league for the second season in a row.
