Being an All-Star himself, KD has often shown potential to be one of the people that the torch could be passed down to after Kobe. That doesn’t mean that Kobe takes it easy on him though. For Bryant, you either win a ring or you lose. There is no middle-ground.
Winning is so important for him that he makes sure that everyone gets equally passionate about the same. Even though he dissed Durant, we know that it only pushed KD to be better and get to the level Kobe is at. Respect comes from winning: Kevin Durant needs to start winning.
