What's the story?

The Score is reporting that one of the best rebounders in NBA history, Dennis Rodman, has checked himself back into rehab after a DUI arrest.

In case you didn't know...

Rodman is one of the most prolific rebounders in NBA history and has been named to the NBA All-Defensive Team a total of seven times, and twice was named as the NBA Defensive Player Of The Year (1990 & 1991). Rodman is also a five-time NBA Champion, twice with the Detriot Pistons (1990 & 1991) and three times with the Chicago Bulls (1996-1998).

In 1997, Rodman would take on the world of professional wrestling and appear on WCW. He would tag with his good friend "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan in a couple of matches against Lex Luger and The Giant, and later against Diamond Dallas Page and Utah Jazz great Karl Malone.

The heart of the matter...

Rodman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Saturday in California. Reports are that Rodman cooperated fully and spent seven hours in jail after failing the breathalyzer test.

Rodman's agent, Darren Prince, confirmed that the two-time All-Star has checked himself back into a rehab facility. Rodman will complete his rehabilitation at the Turning Point Rehabilitation Center in New Jersey.

After a trip to North Korea in 2014, Rodman spent three weeks in the same facility in an effort to decompress from the trip.

What's next?

Rodman is one of the most unpredictable people in the world, so it is unknown what his next steps are after focusing on getting better.

Author's take...

It's great to see Rodman own up to his mistake and immediately look to get better. Thankfully no one was hurt during this incident over the past weekend.
