Preview

After losing three-straight games, the Boston Celtics bounced back with a morale-boosting 117-108 win against the Conference-leading Toronto Raptors. The win was fuelled by an incredible individual performance by Kyrie Irving, who scored 27 points, while also helping himself to 18 assists as Boston improved their record to 26-18.

The win over the Raptors was much needed as the Celtics had suffered a rough weak, losing to the Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat. The Celtics will also be confident of picking up another win tonight as they face a struggling Grizzlies team. Memphis has won just one of their last ten games, and despite Boston's stuttering season, Brad Stevens' men have remained tough to beat at home (16-5).

Team News

Aron Baynes will be back in contention to start for the Celtics after making his comeback during the teams win over the Raptors. The Australian center had missed nearly a month due to a thumb injury, although Baynes came through unscathed during his 14 minutes of action against Toronto.

Baynes was expected to start on his comeback, however, Al Horford has impressed recently, and the 32-year-old dropped 24 points on the Raptors. This was one of the veterans best performances of the season so far, so Horford is expected to start once again.

Marcus Smart and Kyrie Irving are also both available for selection. The duo missed the Celtics defeat to the Brooklyn Nets, although both players have since fully recovered, and made starts against the Raptors. Brad Stevens now has his entire roster healthy, although the Boston coach is likely to start with the same lineup for the second game running.

Predicted Boston Celtics starting line-up: Jayson Tatum (F), Marcus Morris (F), Al Horford (C), Kyrie Irving (G), Marcus Smart (G)
