Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban thinks LaVar Ball and Donald Trump are very alike

Presi
President Trump and LaVar Ball are having a war of words ever since the UCLA incident in China...

What's the story?

Mark Cuban recently spoke with TMZ Sports about the clash between Donald Trump and LaVar Ball. Within the interview, Cuban says that the two are "so much alike."

In case you didn't know...

The clash between Trump and Ball started with the shoplifting incident involving three UCLA basketball players, one of which is LaVar's son, LiAngelo Ball. Trump would start it with the following tweet:

Ball would then respond to interviews with ESPN and CNN stating that he doesn't know what the President did to get the three players out of China and would refuse to thank Trump. In the days since, Trump would continue to talk about the situation on social media, including the latest:

The heart of the matter...

When talking about the similarities between Trump and Ball, Cuban would tell TMZ Sports the following (transcript from The Score):

"They are so much alike, because Donald will say what he needs to say for PR and to be talked about, so does LaVar."
"Donald doesn't apologize for anything, neither does LaVar. LaVar knows if he apologizes, there's nothing else to talk about. LaVar doesn't apologize, he'll be in the news all day every day and the president will end up having to talk about him."
"What's better for Big Baller Brand? It's straight out of the Donald Trump playbook. Congratulations, LaVar."

Cuban would also jokingly suggest that LaVar send Trump some of his Big Baller Brand shoes to mend the fences. He also jokingly suggested that all of this feud is about Trump getting some free shoes.

What's next?

It's anyone's guess for what's next for either Trump or LaVar. Meanwhile, for Dallas, they are on the tough rebuilding route, each night avoiding to stay the worst team in the league.

Author's take...

You know, after Cuban said that, I wouldn't put it past Ball that this is just all for publicity because he knows that Trump has a hard time letting certain subjects go on social media. It's a brilliant business plan, even though I think LaVar is a complete joke.
