LeBron James cannot be stopped, not by the Sacramento Kings, nor by Father Time. The 38-year-old forward led the LA Lakers to their fifth straight win on Saturday night, after scoring 37 points.

Thanks to James' outworldly performances, the Lakers are now 19-21 and are tied with the Utah Jazz for the final play-in spot. If they keep this up, they could make the playoffs and even pull an upset in the first round.

LeBron is showing no signs of slowing down. His first-ever professional game was against the Kings, as he finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Almost two decades later, the forward is still putting on impressive numbers.

LeBron James dominated Sacramento Kings

In 38 minutes on the floor, the four-time MVP scored 37 points on 14-for-28 shooting. LeBron also added eight rebounds, seven assists, and a steal to his final stat line.

Despite being 38, James couldn't be stopped by the Kings. He kept playing well throughout the entire game and even scored the last field goal for the Lakers in the game.

After a huge victory, the Lakers forward is now averaging 29.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game in the 2022-23 season. Even though this is his 20th season in the league, he's averaged more points in only four other seasons.

With 37,965 career points, the four-time NBA champion now only needs 423 points to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the NBA's all-time scoring list. At his current scoring pace, he only needs 15 more games to get to the top.

NBA fans react to LeBron's impressive performance

LeBron continues to have incredible performances this season, even after turning 38. He's simply not slowing down, which is why it's not surprising that many NBA fans are shocked at how good he is.

One Reddit user pointed out how incredible it is that James is playing this well at this age. The user refuses to believe that LeBron is 38 since he dropped 37 points on the second night of a back-to-back.

As of Jan. 8, 2023, LeBron has nearly 38,000 points, 10,464 rebounds and 10,254 assists. If he keeps this up, his career totals could be unreachable for anyone else by the time he retires.

Since turning 38, the four-time MVP has averaged 38.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists. He's also converted 58.0% of his total field goals, which is why some fans believe that his longevity should give him an edge over Michael Jordan.

Several Reddit users pointed out that LeBron James did not get a lot of calls going his way on Saturday night. If he had a few more free throws, he could have had another 40-point game.

Considering that James has only taken 5.8 free throws per game this season, it's has to disagree with these statements.

The Lakers will travel to Colorado to play against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night. Beating Nikola Jokic and playing in the Mile High City will be a difficult challenge, but LeBron James could certainly carry his team to another big victory.
