Fans lost their minds as Jimmy Butler’s animated face appeared on NBA graphic: “Is that a 2k face scan”

NBA fans on Twitter had a field day as ESPN ended up using Jimmy Butler’s NBA 2K23 face scan during statistical analysis.

ESPN did an analysis of the first Eastern Conference fan vote return for the frontcourt positions. The Eastern Conference has seen a range of high-profile performances from a number of players this season. The likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and Joel Embiid are all worthy All-Star candidates who have been the driving force behind their respective teams this season.

The same can be said yet again about Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, who is averaging 21.4 points, 5.7 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game to make for some incredible numbers. The player sneaked in 5th place in the All-Star votes by fans. However, fans spotted a hilarious mistake, with Butler being the only player whose NBA 2K23 face scan was used instead of a picture of his actual face.

Most NBA fans had a field day and thought the mistake was hilarious.

Jimmy Butler is an extremely useful player in NBA 2K23 as well. He has been given an overall rating of 92 as a small forward in the game and has a unique “ 2-Way 3-Level Point Forward Build.” An overall rating of 92 puts Jimmy Butler among the top-30 current players in NBA 2K23.

The player has some impressive two-way statistics and can score a lot of points. Jimmy has multiple featured versions of himself. Fans might want to keep an eye out for the Galaxy Opal version of the Miami Heat forward.

The Galaxy Opal players in NBA 2K23 have the highest possible rating of 97, which means that the players can be a huge boost to any roster. Quite a few free Galaxy Opals have been released until now, with Butler’s card being a part of the Trophy Case rewards.

These challenges are available for free and need to be completed in order to gain specific player cards and other rewards. Of course, if Butler continues his current form and makes the All-Star list, the player is bound to receive further updates in the future. NBA 2K23 has been flexible with its updates thus far and has already updated Jimmy Butler's overall this year. The player started with an overall of 91 and has been given a 92 since!
