C 1 - Karl Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves):
The Minnesota Timberwolves had one of the worst starts since Towns had joined the team. Jimmy Butler had a very negative impact on the team after asking to be traded in the pre-season.
They had lost a lot of games with him on the court and Towns was not playing like himself. Since Butler was traded to the 76ers for Dario Saric and Robert Covington, The Wolves have gone on an 8-3 run too and their defensive rating has skyrocketed. Towns himself has started playing like an All-Star too.

In his last game against the Charlotte Hornets, KAT, as he is called, scored a mammoth 35 points and pulled down 12 boards as well. He was a menace at the rim, swatting a team-high 6 shots and also getting 2 steals.
For the season, he is averaging a great 21 points per game, along with 12 rebounds and almost has 2 blocks per game too. His stats seem a bit down compared to the player he was, but now with the Butler saga behind him, He and the Wolves face off against a struggling Blazers who would want to get it right and it is time for KAT to shine.
Alternative pick: Clint Capela (Houston Rockets)
