PG 1 - Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks)
The Dallas Mavericks have had a really good start to their 2018-19 NBA season, and are currently 7th in the Western Conference. They have a 15-11 record and are currently 8-2 in the last 10 games. In the last game, they played the Atlanta Hawks, winning 114-107. They had a really bad season last year and had ended up with their new player, who seems like a franchise-altering talent, Luka Doncic.
Luka has been having some really consistent games and has been a runaway winner for most people in the rookie of the year category. Most people knew he would have an edge over other rookies, coming from the European League rather than the college tournaments, but nobody expected him to be this good.
He is averaging almost 18 points per game and 7 rebounds as well. He is even getting four assists a game and has been able to defend different positions due to his enormous size. He is also averaging a steal per game as well. In the last match against the Hawks, he got himself a double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He even managed 6 assists, a steal and a block too.
Alternative pick: DeAndre Melton (Phoenix Suns)
