After facing several roadblocks in the last few months, the Indian basketball team finally provided some positive news on Friday after defeating Nepal in the South Asina Basketball qualifiers, handing the team from Nepal a convincing 90-37 win at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium courts in Bengaluru.
The Indian began the first quarter on a fine note, taking a 29-10 lead to put early pressure on the opposition. The second quarter saw the Indian further exert pressure on Nepal and they eventually went with a 50-20 lead.

At the other side of the half, India further maintained the lead over Nepal, never allowing them to make any easy inroads into the match and at the third quarter, were front by 79 to Nepal’s 30.
With such a massive lead, only a miracle would have helped Nepal win the match. That miracle, though didn't happen as Indian romped home to a comfortable win.
