India U-16 basketball team to travel to China for training

The U-16 boys basketball team of India will travel to Dungguan, China, between September 15-22, where they will undergo a training-cum-preparation camp reports Mizo News. They are slated to compete against various Chinese clubs during their training.

The team is scheduled to take part in the 3rd FIBA Asia Championship in Tehran, Iran, starting on September 25. The tournament ends on October 4. The team is currently undergoing its second training camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) complex in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Scott Fleming, the senior team’s head coach will be guiding the youngsters along with head coach of the U-16 team Tritesh Guha and coach Raghavendra Singh Gaur.

The list of probables is: Mahipal Singh (Rajasthan), Akhilesh Kumar (Rajasthan), Yogesh Kanderiya (Rajasthan), Prabmnoor Singh (Punjab), Rahul Mehla (Punjab), Jaipal Singh (Punjab), Ashish Briggs (Madhya Pradesh), Vishal Kumar Gupta (Delhi), Sunil (Delhi), Mithun Das (Chattisgarh), Erash Hooda (Karnataka), Arjun Pandit (Delhi).
