India’s FIBA Referee Snehal Bendke along with China’s Ling Peng will be the first women’s FIBA Referees to officiate in the 27th FIBA ASIA Championship for men to be played in Manila from Aug 1-11, 2013.
It is a first time the women’s referees are nominated by FIBA ASIA to officiate in the FIBA ASIA Basketball Championship for men. They will join 24 other FIBA referees from FIBA ASIA member countries for the elite basketball event of Asia.
The 27th FIBA ASIA Championship will qualify top 3 teams for the 2014 Basketball World Cup in Spain.
