Try as hard as you can, but you can’t find many connections between Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Basketball. However, a recent advertisement by KFC gives a story of a young kid aspiring to play basketball.
Promoting their new brand of ‘Flaming Chicken’, KFC came up with this inspirational video.
The video shows the journey of a young basketball lover who hit his growth spurt early. However, as the years passed by, others around him grew taller and his height, which made him school champion, became the biggest obstacle in him achieving his dreams of playing the sport he loved.
However, he works hard and an injury to his team-mate gives him a chance to perform. The protagonist of the advertisement takes that chance with both hands and ends the video with an inspirational quote: ‘Uchaiyon ko chune ke liye, lamba hona zaroori nahi hai’.
It translates to: ‘You don’t need to be tall to reach heights’.
