The International Basketball Federation (FIBA), FIBA Americas Zone and Euro-league Basketball is all set to re-launch the Intercontinental Cup for clubs. FIBA Americas 2013 League champions Pinheiros Sky of Sao Paulo from Brazil will face 2013 Euro-league champions Olympiacos Piraeus of Greece in the 2013 edition of the Intercontinental Cup for clubs.
The 2013 edition of the Intercontinental Cup will be staged at Barueri Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil as a two-leg series between two teams on 4th and 6th October, 2013.
Once a milestone of the international basketball calendar, the Intercontinental Cup has been on hiatus of 16 years, with the last edition taking place way back in 1996. The 2013 edition of the Intercontinental Cup will be staged at Barueri Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
