Brandon Ingram is listed as questionable on the New Orleans Pelicans’ injury report for their game against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. The Pelicans forward is dealing with a calf injury and has missed the past five games. Expect the team to announce his final status after the morning shootaround or just before tipoff.
Injuries have derailed New Orleans’ season as it is currently placed last in the Western Conference with a 4-18 record. The Pelicans have lost nine straight and are looking for any kind of spark to snap the losing streak. If Ingram returns, it will be a huge boost for the team.
Regarding Brandon Ingram’s return, the team said in an online statement on Wednesday:
"Brandon Ingram (right plantaris tendonitis) went through a full practice today and will be listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Phoenix Suns.”

What did Brandon Ingram say about his probable return on Thursday?
The one-time All-Star spoke to the media as well after practice on Wednesday. He said, via Sports Illustrated:
“I feel good. Had a good practice today. Went through a full practice. I’m going to see how I feel tomorrow and see if I can give it a go. I wanted to be cautious, so that I can stay on the floor when I get back and be effective for my teammates.”
Brandon Ingram’s return is crucial as the team is dealing with a slew of injuries. While he could return Thursday, the Pelicans continue to be without Zion Williamson (left hamstring strain), Jose Alvarado (hamstring) and Jordan Hawkins (back). Herbert Jones (shoulder) and Yves Missi (right ankle sprain) are questionable as well.
If things don’t change soon for New Orleans, the team could be in for a long season with nothing to look forward to in terms of meaningful postseason basketball.
