Draymond Green is available to play for the Golden State Warriors' crunch game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. Green banged his right knee during the Warriors' impressive 118-112 victory over the defending champion Boston Celtics on Wednesday and the team reported a right knee contusion for their four-time NBA champion.
In addition to Green, De’Anthony Melton (back) and Brandin Podziemski were also listed as questionable for Friday’s game. Green, a four-time NBA All-Star, has played in all eight of Golden State's games this season and has been key to their strong start, with the Warriors winning seven of their first eight games.
Green is averaging 8.9 points on 44.7% shooting from the field, including 43.5% from beyond the arc, along with 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. The Warriors fans are hopeful that Green can shake off his recent injury and suit up against a Cleveland team that currently holds the league's best record at 9-0.
