After dropping a close game against San Antonio Spurs at home, the Cavs started their 2-game road trip with this one against the Pelicans.

Kyrie Irving dazzled his way to 49 points but the Davis-less Pelicans still found a way to win as Jrue Holiday and Terrence Jones combined for 69-points.

Kyrie went for 15-28 from the field, with a good field-goal percentage of 53.6. He also pulled down 2 boards along with 4 assists. Kyrie could not be guarded by the Pelicans' defenders as he went for 11-11 from the free-throw line.

LeBron James had a well-deserved triple-double in this game with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists but still fell short of a win by two points as they lost to the Pelicans, 122-124. This was Kyrie's highest-scoring game of the season.
