The NBA rescheduled the postponed games for both the LA Lakers and Clippers. On Wednesday, the league posted a revised schedule for both LA teams, as well as several other teams who were impacted by the cancellations. In addition, the league also rescheduled the Rockets-Hawks game that was postponed due to icy road conditions in Atlanta.The greater LA area has been absolutely devastated by wildfires over the course of the past week, forcing thousands of families to flee their homes as emergency personnel worked to combat several blazes throughout the area.The situation impacted members of the NBA community directly, with Lakers coach JJ Redick and his family notably losing their rental home, and coach Steve Kerr's mom losing the home Kerr grew up in.As the community bands together to rebuild from the devastation, the league announced the following dates for rescheduled games. Additionally, international support has come in from Mexico and Canada as first responders in the LA area work to extinguish the fires.In support of the communities impacted, all 12 LA-based professional sports teams have banded together to donate more than $8 million to support both victims and first responders.The teams are: Angel City FC, Angels (MLB), Chargers (NFL), Clippers (NBA), Dodgers (MLB), Ducks (NHL), Galaxy (MLS), Kings (NHL), LAFC (MLS), Lakers (NBA), Rams (NFL),and Sparks (WNBA).The various teams announced the initiatives on social media earlier in the week, with the money set to be dispersed through organizations like the American Red Cross and Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, as well as food kitchens feeding those in need, and the first responders.You can see the post from the LA Dodgers regarding the news, below:
