The 2015-16 NBA season is perhaps the most special season for LeBron James. In the last decade, the Klay Thompson and Steph Curry duo have led their team to five consecutive NBA Finals. They faced LeBron in three of them.

After a humbling defeat in the previous finals, a wounded James would register one of the lowest scoring regular seasons of his career, scoring "only" 25.3 points per game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers still reached the finals and clashed with Team GSW. The reason this season was so special for LeBron James is simply because this was the only time he defeated the Steve Kerr-coached team in the three NBA Finals he played against them.

The universally known truth is that LeBron did indeed have one of his lowest scoring seasons in 2015-15. But what cannot be denied either is that by defeating a seemingly undefeatable Golden State, he established himself as a winner against all odds.

Agreed that he had Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love's support, but that doesn't undermine the brilliance LeBron James exhibited.
